Tips:
- Use patriotic themes and sentiments to captivate customers and increase sales
- Leverage social media trends and challenges to help expand your reach
- Offer free shipping, exclusive discounts, and promotions with enticing promo codes
- Participate in local events or host an online event to drive engagement and encourage brand loyalty
Campaign Ideas
- “Made in the USA”—Being “Made in the USA” holds a new value, especially as we celebrate the summer holidays. American products are in demand, and if your business can claim this unique characteristic, now is the time to promote your American-made products proudly! (If your business features stickers, posters, gift wrap, or table runners and cannot make this claim, we cordially invite you to partner with us!)
- Launch a Special Edition July 4th Product—Fourth-of-July-themed products are all the craze! Not only does a “limited edition” product create demand, but it also helps your brand remain relevant. Virtually any business or brand can accomplish this by changing a best-selling product or design to feature red, white, blue, and/or stars, flags, or fireworks to leverage patriotic sentiments that drive sales. BONUS: The Summer Olympics are right around the corner, so track your sales and create product extensions to launch before the games!
- Design a July 4th Flash Sale—Consider offering a special discount for orders placed on July 4th or discounts on items prominently featuring red, white, and/or blue.
- Honor the Military—Extend a special offer to military and active personnel. This marketing tactic rewards those who have honorably fought for our freedom and provides positive PR, as it allows your brand to share stories about veterans and their sacrifices.
- Create a Holiday eBlast—Target your customers by emailing them special offers, limited-edition products, and promotions.
- Offer Freebies or a Gift with Purchase—Freebies are a great way to engage customers and drive sales so consider creating a sweepstakes where lucky customers can earn free products or host a sale where all customers who spend $X or sign up for your email marketing list receive a gift with purchase.
- Patriotic Packaging—If possible, update your packaging to display the stars and stripes!
- Publish Holiday-Themed Content—Create marketing campaigns and ads with stars, stripes, and other patriotic themes.
- Add Spark to Your Website—Promote your 4th of July sales on your website’s landing page. Another way to bring the holiday to your website is to add graphics like stars, stripes, and/or fireworks. You may also consider changing the theme of your website for the week leading up to the holiday.
- Create 4th of July Bundles—Depending on your business and product offerings, consider bundling products by color (red, white, and blue) or by theme (think pool party, picnic, or holiday party products, clothing, or usage).
We hope you have a prosperous and happy 4th of July holiday!
